表の配置は、長音（long vowel）と短音（short vowel）を、r がついて音が変わったものとそうでないものを、一応の目安に並べた。同じ母音字に着目すると、/A/ の長音は /ju:/ であるが、同一の morhem を綴るときのバラエティに着目すると /A/ の長音は /au/ ということであり（house-husband の如し）、ややこしい。なんとなく近くに置いておいた。
